visiting with Aunt Lisa
Sorry we haven't posted news the last couple of days but it has been a whirlwind. As I said earlier, the doctor had increased his amount of food every six hours. Well a few feedings into that plan the doctor changed his mind and decided to go ahead and give him the 33ml (one of our goals to reach to think about being discharged) and see how much of it he would eat. From then on Aidan has been eating 35 to 50 ml at each feeding. All feedings were from the bottle so we were at the hospital just about every three hours to feed him. Your day goes by pretty quickly when you're driving to and from the hospital, feeding a slow eater, and bringing family members by for visiting.
They also decided to change him from the icelet/incubator to the open bed. Oh! And they also decided to take out his ng tube since they had increased his feedings. He gained weight and is now 4 pounds 14 ounces.
Like I said, lots of big changes all at one time. Hopefully things will continue to progress. :)
