Some good news!

Aidan is doing much better with his feedings.  Yesterday the doctor decided to increase his food amount by 3ml every six hours instead of 2ml every six hours.  That puts him at 21ml as of this morning's feeding.  He seems to be handling the increase very well and is digesting it.  He definitely knows what the good stuff is and wants away from their idea of nutrition and on to the breast milk.  He knows the routine too: mom and dad show up, diaper gets changed, and then he gets the bottle.  He's kind of cute, when you start that process he's got his mouth open and his head waving-the international sign for feed me!

Let's hope this continues to progress well.  It seems kind of high speed after waiting for him to eat 2ml at every feeding and struggling to digest that amount.

Last night we did notice that his right foot is a little swollen and we're not quite sure why.  Let's pray it's nothing serious.  Preemies do sometimes have this but usually it's both feet, not just one.  Hmm.  We'll see.

But overall, good news!  We're continuing with our nightly skin to skin (Kangaroo care) and he really likes it.  Enjoy the new photos of our little guy! :)
