He had a breathing episode when he woke up that morning that we handled, not a huge deal. After his morning nap he got a bath and it was after the bath, while I was trying to dress him that he really freaked me out. While I was attacking him with the saline and nasal extractor his arm froze up in a weird position. And it wouldn't bend back. It's one thing to have to flick him to keep him crying while trying to saline and suction him, but to have him freeze up while doing that and then have him begin crying like he's in pain (and trying to figure out why his arm was doing that)....too much! His arm did relax when his breathing returned to normal. Just a spasm from the stress? (Doctor said as long as he was crying and responsive we're okay)
I got him breathing normally again, fed him his breakfast, and then began calling Visalia to tell them we wouldn't be coming after all. I then called my dear friend Linda who came over to keep me company since I was emotionally distraught after our little episodes. Marti and Randy stopped by to pick something up and they stayed for a bit too! It was sooo nice to have their company after our little scare.
Mom and Dad then called to say they were coming up for the weekend. Guess they knew I needed them. See, we still need our parents even when we're parents ourselves!
Aidan was so excited to see his Grandpa walk through the door (he had seen Grandma recently but not Grandpa). He had just fallen asleep and when they opened the door he glanced at Grandma smiled and then closed his eyes. But then Grandpa walked in and started talking and that was it for the nap! Too much stuff to see!
He and Grandpa had fun playing with this hat. He was mesmerized by it and kept grabbing at the letters on it. It was nice to spend time with the family this weekend.
A big thank you to our wonderful friends and family. We are very blessed to have you in our lives. We love you!
