I know this post says Annie and Matt's wedding, but I had to throw this one in.
A little while back we were cutting up tomatoes and peppers for spaghetti sauce. Well...a chunk of innards (seeds and stuff) from the pepper landed on the floor. Mr. Aidan thought it would be a good idea to pick this up off the floor and put it in his mouth (like he does everything else) and you can guess his reaction. Thank God it was only a mild/medium pepper and not something really hot. After putting it in his mouth (and then him quickly pulling it off his tongue) he rubbed his eye as he started crying. No bueno. More crying and red swollen face. The poor kid. He just didn't understand why his tongue and his eyes suddenly started burning! I got a wash cloth to wipe it off and he actually stuck his tongue out in hopes of me wiping away the hurt? So we wiped his tongue and washed his face and gave him lots of love.
Well, I did. Kev said he'd be fine and maybe he'd learn his lesson about picking up food from the floor.
